	You can help the children of LaCroix. Haiti's population is about 8.5 million. The unemployment rate is 85%. Only 15% of school-aged children are able to go to school because their parents cannot afford to send them. The LaCroix New Testament Mission Child Sponsorship Program provides a way for children, who would otherwise be denied an education, to go to school. For $20 per month, or $240 per year, you can provide a quality education in a Christian environment, a uniform, a hot meal each day, and the hope of a brighter future for a child in Haiti.
At present, almost 800 children are sponsored by members of churches in Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, Indiana and throughout the United States. Pastor Pierre and the mission staff are able to stretch every dollar which is donated to provide for over 3500 children. As support increases, the number of children attending school increases also. Pastor Pierre and staff would like to see all children in Haiti, especially those in LaCroix, attend school. This program provides a way to break the cycle of poverty by giving the children an education and hope for the future.
	Sponsors often support the same child year after year, establishing and nurturing a relationship through letters, pictures and other correspondence. Many sponsors have been able to meet their sponsored children during mission trips to LaCroix. * Thanks so much to the wonderful individuals and churches who sponsored the children on this page.
